Menus are an important factor of your website. Without them your visitors will not be able to find their way around!
You can have more than one menu. If more than one menu has already been created, then you will see ‘Select a Menu to Edit’ and a drop down box. If you are editing a menu then choose the one you wish to edit.
Below that you will have a left hand column showing the items that can be added to the menu. On the right is the menu and items already added.
Simply find the item you wish to add to the menu, check the box next to it and then click Add to Menu.
So, if you have just created a new category that you wish to add to the menu, click on Categories. To see your category you may have to click View All for it to show. Once you have checked the box next to the one you wish to add, click Add to Menu.
This will place it at the bottom of the menu. To reorder it simply click, hold and drag into the position you want it to show.
If you wish the category to be a sub-menu, ie only display when the parent is clicked on, drag it into position just below the parent category, then drag it slightly to the right so that it is indented. See the image above and note that Blog and WordPress Tutorials are indented below Articles. They will only show on the front-end in a drop down box when visitor clicks on Articles.
